Time Dilation
Bio
The Time Dilation is a modulated delay playground with tons of juicy features. It is an analog voiced digital delay (PT2399 Based) that will give you any sound from classic slap-back to long ambient trails with a psychedelic twist. The modulation section is what really makes this effect special. With short delay times and low depth settings it can nail a chorus or vibrato sound, with higher depth settings the modulation will bend the pitch of the delays up to an octave up and down creating sounds never heard before. The Controls
Time: Controls the delay time, counter clockwise for short and clockwise for long. Ranges from 30ms to 450ms (it can go longer in special circumstances).
Mix: Controls the wet/dry signal ratio and will go 100% dry fully counter clockwise to 100% wet fully clockwise.
Feedback: Controls the amount of repeats ranging from 1 fully counter clockwise to infinity and beyond fully clockwise. (It will self oscillate and do the crazy spaceship noises that we all love to do at some point or another).
Depth: Controls the width of the modulation on the repeats. Fully counterclockwise turns the modulation off, as you turn it up it will range from a subtle vibrato to full blown pitch bending up to an octave up and down when it is fully clockwise.
Rate: Controls the speed of the modulation, counterclockwise is extremely slow and clockwise is extremely fast. The Rate LED will flash to show you the rate even when in bypass mode.
Shape: Controls the wave form of the modulation, counterclockwise is a triangle wave for smooth pitch gliding and clockwise is a square wave for hard cut changes in pitch. Anywhere in the middle will be a mix between triangle and square wave modulation.
EXP: Expression pedal input, controls the delay time via an expression pedal. The delay time know will act as a minimum setting to select the shortest delay time with the heel down and your expression pedal will increase the delay time from there. It is recommended to use an expression pedal with a B50K potentiometer for optimal range on the delay times but most expression pedals will work fine.
Stats
It is in a 125B enclosure, 122mm x 67mm x 40mm.
Power with the standard 9V DC centre negative (Boss style) adapter, draws 40mA.
Input impedance is 1M and the output impedance is 1K.
It uses a relay based true-bypass switch for a soft click and super silent activation.
